Our Story
From a shelf of hijabs to a house
Aura Collections was founded in Bukoto by Muslim women who kept hearing the same quiet complaint: to dress modestly in Kampala, you had to settle. Settle for dull fabric, for shapeless cuts, for “almost right.” We disagreed — loudly.
Today the house curates abayas in nida and silk satin, hijabs in mulberry and jersey, Gulf perfumery, handbags with gold locks, timepieces, shoes and skincare — each piece chosen slowly, held in small number, and presented the way we present things to the women we love.
Our clients are women of consequence — they run companies, raise families, keep prayers. They do not chase fashion; they commission it. The showroom in the New Sunshine Building, opposite Middle East Restaurant, is theirs as much as ours.

What we refuse to compromise
We buy like it's ours
Every piece enters the showroom only after one of the house women would wear it herself. Most never make the cut.
Few pieces, held beautifully
We are not a warehouse. Quantities are small on purpose — when a piece finds its woman, it will not meet itself at every event.
The concierge habit
Sizes, matching hijabs, gift wrapping, sourcing the watch you saw in Dubai — ask. That is what the house is for.
